Even if the Proverbs were compiled from several original authors they are God-breathed or “inspired by God.” It all depends on your view of the Bible. Those that believe the Bible is the work of man will think very differently than those who believe the Bible is the work of God.

The Bible is a very interesting set of 66 books compiled over more than 1,000 years by more than 40 various authors. To assign possible contention or anger between those that shared a common faith is highly unlikely.
